Stuck in the Middle: Obama or Bust

If you think about it, Clinton and Obama have mostly similiar views. They may differ slightly on policy and plans of attack, but Democrats seem to all be pretty fluid.
So how has Obama captured the adoration of myself and many other Americans?
It all comes down to his message. He speaks eloquently about hope and he actually makes me feel that even though gas prices are through the roof and the economy is tumbling and we are in an un-winnable conflict, that things will get better.
I'm not sure I feel all that confident that he will be able to really fix America's problems, but at this point I'm willing to try just about anything, especially if it is different. As Obama once said, it is people with experience who got us here today. So why not give him a shot?
But there is one person standing in his way. Senator Clinton. She is rapidly becoming the Huckabee of the Republicans, declaring defiantly that she will stay in this race until it is over.
Honorable? Sure. Stupid? Kind of.
Her campaign is $20 million in the hole right now and I'm sure that number will be climbing. Many of her super delegates have turned their backs on her and have jumped on the Obama bandwagon. He is now beating her in the superdelegate count and has a commanding lead with pledged delegates. (He has 1,866 while she has 1,697.) Whoever hits 2,025 will be the nominee.
Clinton won big in West Virginia, as many pundits predicted. If you call winning 28 delegates big, that is. These next few weeks will be pretty interesting, but I have a pretty good feeling that Obama's name will be the one on the ticket in November...at least I hope so.

I am a supporter of Senator Obama.
I have no illusions about him, he is not perfect and he will not be a perfect president. What is stunning about this particular statement is Obama says this himself all the time to anyone that will listen. (Continued…)
