O'Connor Ermi officially named head coach

After an 18-10 season and an ECAC upstate championship, Marianne O'Connor Ermi has been named the head coach of the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team. O'Connor Ermi had officially been the interim head coach after former coach Phil Kahler's retirement right before the start of the 2008-2009 season.

This time can alter one's opinions, change a relationship with a friend forever, define a sports season, declare champions, bring let downs, make a person stronger, give a person their best memories and ultimately make one eight months older.

In the past there has been cause for concern over the lack of student input in College decision making. This year, there has been a significant increase in the number of surveys that have been sent out to collect student, faculty and staff opinions. Among those who sent out surveys were Facilities, The Office of Information Technology and Campus Ministry.

Tim Marion claims that football isn't his best sport. "I was a tracky in high school," the senior wide receiver says. "I was a lot better pole-vaulter than football player." Cornerbacks in the Empire 8 Conference would likely shake their heads in exasperation at that revelation, wishing Marion had stuck to the track field and never set foot on the collegiate gridiron.
